Privacy Policy
BookTick: Classics on Watch for Apple Watch, by Flying Tofu Productions, LLC.
BookTick does not collect any data about you. Nothing is sent to us: there is no account or sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and we run no servers that receive anything from the app. BookTick does not use Apple Health and does not use your location.
Downloading books
The list of books is built into the app. When you tap Get Book, your Apple Watch downloads that book's text and cover directly from Project Gutenberg (gutenberg.org), the same as visiting their website. Like any website, their servers see the request and your network address. BookTick sends nothing else, and the request does not go to us. See the Project Gutenberg privacy policy.
What stays on your Apple Watch
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Books you download and their covers | So you can read offline. |
| Your place in each book | So you can pick up where you left off. |
| Reading minutes, words read, books finished, streaks and milestones | To show your reading stats and daily goal. These never leave your watch. |
| Your settings, such as text size, style and daily goal | So BookTick remembers them. |
Purchases
BookTick is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and your payment details entirely. We never see them.
Deleting your data
Remove a single book from its page in BookTick. Deleting the app removes all books, stats and settings from your watch. Because nothing is sent to us, we hold no data about you to delete.
Your rights
Because BookTick collects no personal information, we do not sell or share personal information, and we hold none to access, correct or delete. Wherever you live, if you have a question about your data, email us and we will answer.
Children
BookTick does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will change and the revised policy will be posted here before it takes effect.
