BookTick: 11,000 classic books on your Apple Watch

Most of us carry a phone full of books we never open. The moments we actually have for reading are short: a line at the coffee shop, the bus, five minutes before a meeting. Your Apple Watch is already on your wrist for all of them. BookTick puts a library there.
BookTick: Classics on Watch is out now on the App Store for $2.99, with every book included.
A whole library, built in
BookTick comes with over 11,000 of the most-read classics: Pride and Prejudice, Sherlock Holmes, Frankenstein, Moby Dick, The Great Gatsby, Alice in Wonderland and thousands more. Browse shelves for mystery, sci-fi, adventure, romance, horror, poetry and plays, or search by title or author. There is nothing to import and no iPhone app to set up. Pick a book and it downloads to your watch in a few seconds.
Made for a few minutes at a time
- Quick Reads: hundreds of books you can finish in under an hour, with a reading time on every title.
- Turn the Digital Crown to read. Text size, serif or sans, and Night, Amber or Paper styles.
- Your place is saved automatically, so you can read a chapter in line and pick up exactly there later.
- Reads offline once a book is downloaded.
- Skips the front matter and opens at chapter one.
Goals and streaks
Set a daily reading goal (five minutes is a great start), keep your streak going and watch your week fill up. BookTick tracks minutes read, books finished and words read, and unlocks milestones from your first book to a million words. Add the Reading Streak complication to your watch face to see today's progress at a glance.
Spooky classics for October
Halloween is the best time of year for old books. A few that fit in a coffee break or a commute:
- The Masque of the Red Death, Edgar Allan Poe, about 11 minutes
- The Yellow Wallpaper, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, about 24 minutes
- The Damned Thing, Ambrose Bierce, about 29 minutes
- The Fall of the House of Usher, Edgar Allan Poe, about 32 minutes
- The Monkey's Paw, W. W. Jacobs, about 32 minutes
- The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Washington Irving, about 52 minutes
And for longer October nights: Dracula, Frankenstein, Carmilla, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Turn of the Screw and The Hound of the Baskervilles.

Questions
Do I need an iPhone app?
No. BookTick runs entirely on Apple Watch. Downloading a book needs Wi-Fi, cellular or your iPhone nearby, and reading works offline after that.
Are the books really included?
Yes. Every book is included in the one-time price, with no subscription or in-app purchases. The books are in the public domain in the United States, with texts from Project Gutenberg.
